2018 Call for Global Knowledge Proposals

PPIAF’s 2018 Call for Global Knowledge Proposals is seeking submissions on topics pertaining to private sector participation in infrastructure, public-private partnerships (PPPs), and sub-national finance in PPIAF’s priority sectors (Energy, Water and Transportation). Multi-sector proposals related to the general PPP enabling environment are also acceptable.

PPIAF will consider global knowledge products that provide lessons learned or best practices that can be applied across countries and across regions. • Knowledge Products (e.g., toolkits, guides, manuals, briefs, training seminars and workshops, development of training materials, capacity building)

  • Outreach (translation, dissemination, conferences)

Proposals will be accepted for knowledge products and outreach activities on the following topics:

  • Best practices to improve national and/or local governments’ capacity, particularly in low-income and fragile countries, to address sustainability issues in infrastructure through private sector participation.

  • Activities that produce learning on what works and what does not when integrating gender considerations, including prevention and response to gender based violence, in PPP frameworks and/or to promote female entrepreneurs’ participation in the supply chain of infrastructure PPPs.

  • Case studies or best practices on incorporating a pro-poor dimension in the design/construction/monitoring of infrastructure projects with private sector participation.
